Tour Description: days 1-6 |
days 7-10
Day 1:
Arrival in Baia Mare.
Transfer from the airport.
Breakfast.
Itinerary: Baia Mare - Surdesti - Cavnic - Budesti -Calinesti - Barsana - Sieu - Botiza.
We will be making stops in order to visit wooden churches, water mills, traditional houses.
Lunch.
Dinner and breakfast: traditional farm in Botiza or Sieu.
Days 2,3,4,5:
Breakfast, dinner and accomodations at traditional farms.
We will be visiting the village churches, weaving shops, art shops, etc.
We can organize trips to the surrounding areas and we can pick flowers, medicinal plants or wild fruits, and we can watch animals in the wild.
As optional activities, we can go on additional trips:
- Sighet - Sapanta on the Iza Valley where we will visit the wooden churches, the Village Museum of Maramures and the Merry Cemetery
- Viseu - Vaser Valley - short trip by steam train
- Bogdan Voda - Ieud- carriage trip
- Poienile Izei - hill climb and wooden church visit
Day 6:
Breakfast.
Itinerary: Borsa - Prislop - Campulung Moldovenesc - Moldovita ( monastery founded by Petru Rares in 1532) - Sucevita (monastery founded by Ieremie Movila la 1584) - Marginea ( black ceramics) - Putna ( monastery founded by Stefan the Great in 1466).
Lunch at Popasul Bucovina.
Dinner and accomodations at Popasul Bucovina, Sucevita.
