Day 1:
Arrival in Baia Mare. Breakfast at Mara Restaurant. Tour of the old city center: Stefan's Tower, Iancu de Hunedoara House, Butcher's Den and the new city center: the Mineralogical Museum and the Museum of Popular Art.
Itinerary: Baia Mare - Gutai pass - Hanul Pintea Viteazu - Mara - Desesti (wooden church 1770)- sat Sugatag (wooden church 1642)- Berbesti (roadside cross) - Sighet - Sapanta (Merry Cemetery).
Dinner and overnight stay: Tisa Hotel, Sighetu Marmatiei.
Day 2:
Breakfast.
Tour of Sighet: the Maramures Museum, the Memorial.
Itinerary: Sighet - Barsana(church) - Botiza (renowned for wood sculptures and traditional carpets painted in organic colours) - Bogdan Voda ( wooden church 1722) - Ieud (the oldest wooden church in Maramures 1364) -Sacel ( village known for its unfinished ceramics) - Borsa.
Lunch: traditional meal at a local farm.
Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Cerbul, Borsa.
Day 3:
Breakfast.
Itinerary: Borsa - Prislop - Campulung Moldovenesc - Moldovita ( monastery founded by Petru Rares in 1532) - Sucevita (monastery founded by Ieremie Movila in 1584) - Marginea (black ceramics) - Putna ( monastery founded by Stefan the Great in 1466).
Lunch: Bucovina Rest Stop.
Dinner and overnight accomodations: Sucevita.
